Katy Koonce, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of professional experience. She believes that a
lively, genuine therapeutic relationship can be a means to healing and self-discovery. Katy offers individual, couples, and group psychotherapy for a diverse clientele,
including artists and other folks on the fringe. In 1998, she founded the first therapist-led transgender support group in Central Texas. She currently leads a psychotherapy group for all genders and co-facilitates with Paula, a psychotherapy group for transgender women She has given presentations and workshops for organizations such
as the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society, the Austin State Hospital, Wright House, Arizona State University, Gender Odyssey, and the UT School of Social Work. She is
a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the American Group Psychotherapy Association, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health,
and the International Foundation for Gender Education. She is a licensed clinical supervisor.
Paula Buls, LCSW is a trans-activist and psychotherapist also from Austin, Texas. Prior to transitioning,
she worked as a licensed chemical dependency counselor in Austin. She was a founding member of the Transgender Education Network of Texas and has served on the
board of directors of the Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival. Paula has been a presenter at Gender Odyssey, the Queer Texas Conference and the Equality
Texas, State of the State Conference. She received her BS in Psychology and Master of Science in Social Work degrees from The University of Texas at Austin.
She is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice. Paula is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health,
the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society, and the National Association of Social Workers. She is a former Chair of the GLBT panel of the Equity Committee for NASW-Texas and serves on the Board of the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society.
Paula offers individual, group, and couples therapy in the heart of Austin. She welcomes clients of all genders and sexualities and is a kink aware

Monrovia Van Hoose, LCSW has been the Clinical Director of Out Youth Austin since October 2008.
She holds an MSSW from Columbia University and was the first social work intern at the Harvey Milk High School.
She earned her BA in English Literature & Cultural Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin.
Monrovia specializes in gender identity, sexuality, adolescents, young adults, identity exploration, and LGBTQIA issues.
Other areas of focus include Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, behavioral issues, grieving, HIV, and phase of life changes.
Her therapeutic perspective is informed by her background as an artist, feminist, activist, and sex positive individual.
Monrovia's therapeutic modalities include Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Object Relations, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques.
She is currently providing individual, group, family, and relationship therapy and welcomes clients of all backgrounds.
